The 22 remote job boards actually worth your time
Most "top remote job boards" lists are SEO bait, long rankings of every board that exists, with no honest opinion about which ones actually have roles open to people outside the US. Here's a shorter, more useful version: the boards that consistently post roles a candidate in Latin America can actually get hired for.
Tier 1: the ones worth checking weekly
These boards have a meaningful share of "worldwide" or "Americas" roles, not just US-only listings dressed up as "remote."
- We Work Remotely, large, long-running, strong filters for Americas/worldwide.
- Remote OK, heavier on engineering but good cross-functional listings.
- Himalayas, modern UI, decent at surfacing genuinely global roles.
- Wellfound (formerly AngelList), best for startups under 200 people.
- Remotive, curated, smaller volume but high signal.
Tier 2: niche but high signal
- Working Nomads, strong for marketing, content, and ops roles.
- Just Remote, light volume but consistently legitimate listings.
- Dribbble Jobs, design only; worth it for the brief, focused posts.
- Otta (now Welcome to the Jungle), UK-Europe heavy, but a real chunk of remote-friendly roles.
- Outsourcely, entry-level and freelance lean, but a real on-ramp.
Tier 3: company career pages
Once you have a shortlist of remote-friendly companies (Automattic, GitLab, Buffer, Doist, Zapier, Toptal, Deel, Remote.com, and so on), bookmark their careers pages and check them weekly. Applying directly is almost always faster than waiting for the same role to show up on a board.
Boards to deprioritize
Boards that aggregate listings from everywhere and don't filter by hiring region waste your time. You'll send applications into a void. The clearest tell: if you can't filter by "hire from Latin America" or "worldwide," the board doesn't take that distinction seriously and most listings are US-only.
How to actually use these
Pick three boards from Tier 1 and one from Tier 2. Check each one on a fixed day of the week. Apply to two to four roles per session, tailoring each one. Log everything in a tracker so you don't apply to the same role twice or lose track of who you've heard back from.
